She was predeceased by: her wife Gail E. Steinheimer; and her parents, Anthony J. DeFazio and Mary (Vincenzia). She is survived by: her great-niece Samantha Granieri; her siblings, Mildred Garrison, Lucy Vilela, Carmella (Rudy Baird) and Anthony DeFazio Jr. (Joan); and her great-niece Andrea Granieri. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews.
