With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melody C. Neely (Newark, New York), who passed away on April 8, 2022 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Trueman Cox and Darlyne Schober Cox. She is survived by: her husband Scott Neely of Newark; her sons, William Neely (Christina) of Delaware, Austin Clay Neely of Newark, John Neely of Newark and David Neely of Newark; her granddaughter Serenity Neely; and her sisters, Connie Baugher (Earl) and Dolores Cox. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Melody had a beautiful gentle presence about her, an angelic soft voice and a genuine interest in people. The love and pride she had for her family was admirable. She warmly welcomed me to Thanksgiving dinner in her home Where she afforded me a ‘cead mile failte’ . May her family gain comfort knowing that Melody was so loved.
