With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John William Becker of Newark, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on December 12, 2024 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria Becker; and his parents, Lorraine Becker and John Becker. He is survived by: his children, Peggy Miles (Jerry) of Moyock, NC, Sarah Lagos of Webster, NY, Jon Becker of Cheyenne, WY and Allyn Becker of Newark, NY; his grandchildren, Chad Miles, Mark Miles, Emily Becker, Isabella Raine Lagos and Taegen Becker; his great grandchildren, Caroline, Nash and Shiloh; his siblings, Dorothy Pigott (Robert), Barbara Bobowski, Mary Clark, Judith Garvie Anderson and Larry Becker (Linda); and his in-laws, Nancy, Phil Profetta and Raymond Stone. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home (4025 Main St, Williamson, NY 14589). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish (5823 Walworth Rd, Ontario, NY 14519). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at the Webster Rural Cemetery (1087 Ridge Rd, Webster, NY 14580).
His contribution to the community was meaningful, blessing us with over 30 years of volunteer service with the Williamson Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Fairville Fire Department, and a lifelong member of the Williamson American Legion Post 394.
