It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Wood of Newark, New York, born in Sodus, New York, who passed away on November 24, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Wood and Bessie Sampson Wood; and her brother Fredrick Wood Sr.. She is survived by: her sister-in-law Linda Wood of Lyons; her nephews, Gary (Lisa) and Fredrick Jr. Wood (Cindy); her sisters, Bessie Monachino of Sodus and Dorothy Simmons of Lyons; her great-nephews, Andy (Haley) and Adam; her friends, Patty Grimes, Stephanie and Ellie; her nieces, Melissa, Cora and Billie; and also Carter J. Wood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name, may be made to Laurel House Comfort Care Home, 224 Fair St., Newark, NY 14513.
