He was predeceased by: his parents, Marinus DeRue and Carrie DeRue (Sanders); his wife Mary; and his daughter Michelle. He is survived by: his children, David DeRue (Deborah Manno) and Eileen Welker (Paul); his grandchildren, Jacob Manno, Bradley Welker, Ryan Welker and Seth Welker; his sister Janet Heald (James); his nieces, Sheila Caralla (Scott), Wendy Fisher (Ed) and Karen Curtin; his nephew Rick Schoonerman (Veronica); and his close friends, Scott Caralla, Patty and Keith Battle.
