We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2021, at the age of 87, Eugene Schermerhorn of Newark, New York, born in Washington Mills, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Schermerhorn and Ellen Salisbury (Butler); his wife Marie; his siblings, Carleton Schermerhorn, Gordon Fargo, David Fargo, Joan Galler and Florence Caldwell; and his granddaughter Amanda Rose Schermerhorn.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara; his son-in-law Robert Kallassy; his children, Richard Schermerhorn and Karen Schermerhorn; his son-in-law Stephen Cipolla; his daughter Lee; his son-in-law Chuck DeRidder; his daughter Jean; his son-in-law Jerry Chrisman; his son Andrew; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Schermerhorn; his stepdaughter Amy; and his sisters, Marion and Helen. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
