He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Merrill and Mary Dellinger Merrill; his wife Margaret T. LaVarnway; his siblings, Doris, Albert, Harry, Laura, Adah, Irma, Carmen and Phylis; his grandson Jesse Merrill; his daughter Wendy L. Frank; and his son-in-law Richard Frank.
He is survived by: his son Wayne E. Merrill (Carla A.) of Lyons; his grandson Joshua W. Merrill (Bobbie Jo) of Galeton; and his great grandchildren, Damien, Haylie Jo, Jacob and Lillie Jo of Pa.
