She was predeceased by: her parents, Byron Dorn and Helen Patrick Dorn; and her husband George Smith. She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl Brownell (Charles) of Phelps; her grandson Timothy Shove (Katie Spencer); her great grandchild Carter George Shove of Newark; her nephew Steven Ridley (Sally); her great-nephew Scott Ridley (Eleanor); and also Matthew Ridley of Kentucky. She is also survived by step grand-daughters, step great-granddaughters and step great-great grandsons.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cheney Funeral Home (70 Main St, Phelps, NY 14532). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the East Palmyra Cemetery (1999 Whitbeck Rd, Newark, NY 14513).
It is requested that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Wayne County 1475 County House Road, Lyons, NY 14489.
