He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ackerman and Lillian Limerick Ackerman; his brother Timothy M. Ackerman; and his sibling-in-law Isabel Young. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Young Ackerman; his children, Jason R. Ackerman, Amy Ackerman (Johnny Kemnitz) and Sarah Gannett (Brian Cole); his granddaughters, Carly and Amelia; his sister Elizabeth Barnes (Donald); his brothers-in-law, Donald II (Carol) and Stanton Young; and his close friend Diane Van Lare. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
