She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Smith and Jean Smith (Reigel); her husband William; and her siblings, Dennis Smith, Thomas Smith, Bonnie Commando and Shawn Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Clayton "Cliffy" Barse' (Nancy), Thomas Payne (Liz), Jason Payne (Angela), Kendra Rennie (Richard), Robert Payne (Malina), Elizabeth Gerhart (Kyle Gosier) and Kacie Winsor (Nick Bazinga); her grandchildren, Christopher Barse' (Sam), Shahn Barse' (Kamille), Steven Barse', Kory Barse', Caleb Barse', Kristiana DeTienne (Scotland), Cameron Barse', Benjamin Gamblin, Joshua Gamblin, Carl, LaRue, Gideon Payne, Zipporah Payne, Deiondra Payne, Olivia Payne, Meghan Davis (Brian), James Thompson (Emily), Pollyanna Treese (Deion Smith), Jadon Treese, Erica Rennie, Benjamin Treese, Abigail Payne, Jerame Payne, Mallory Payne, Rigel Winsor and Conor Winsor; and her siblings, Bette Jo Payne (Lewie), Todd Smith (Brenda) and Michelle Smith. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
