He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

“Sue & Steve, Penny, Lu, Rick and the whole family- I am so incredibly saddened to see the news of Bill's death. So very many of my teen year memories include him. I know the one he remembers most is the one in which he claimed to be my dad in order to get me into a club before I was 21. Although his health declined steadily over the years, he never ceased to wear a smile whenever I saw him. I so wish I'd heard the news sooner so I could've made the trip north to pay my respects. Love you all! 'C”
