Sam M. Chopiak Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sam M. Chopiak of Newark Valley, New York, who passed away on October 22, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Chopiak and Katherine Chopiak (Wasylysyln); his wife Mary Grace; and his siblings, Dorothy Corson, Russell Chopiak and Lydia Slaven.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Yeomans (Bill), Sandra VanAlstine, Sharon Crotsley (Mark), Bev Battaglini (Ken) and Daniel Chopiak (Karen); and his siblings, Martha, Nicholas and Gloria. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to Lourdes' Hospice through the Lourdes Hospital Foundation; 187 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, NY 13905.
