He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hines and Edna Hines; and his siblings, Red, Corky, Bob Hines, Hattie Testa, Emily Edwards and Louise VanVorce.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hines; his children, LouAnn (Mike Lane), Merton Hines, Jr., Christopher Fenn and Michael (Christin Fenn); his grandchildren, Mary, Nicole, Angus, Derek, Ronnie, Kalei, Barden, HattieSue and Polly; and his sister-in-law Mary Hines. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended friends.
