With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James H. Chase of Newark Valley, New York, born in Augusta, Maine, who passed away on February 5, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Chase and Mildred Chase; his siblings, Bev Barton, Katie Robin and Shorty Chase; and his brother-in-law Jack Hoag.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Chase; his daughter Jamie; his son-in-law Rob Vought; his son Jim; his daughter-in-law Dawn Chase; his grandchildren, Chris Chase (Amber), Andrew Vought (Kaylee), Kirsten Chase and Kasey Vought; his great grandchildren, Landon Carter, Max Sodan, Kora Bird, Brielle Chase and Baby Boy Vought; his brother Mike Chase (Laurie); his sisters-in-law, Judy Chase, Barbara George, Sandy Hall and Jo Hoag; and his uncle Luke Miller. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family requests that memorials be given in place of flowers.
