He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Wheeland and Beverly Wheeland (Carman); his significant other Ruth Ann Wheeland; and his brother Chuck Wheeland. He is survived by: his children, Steven Mattscheck, Christina Furman (Les), Tracey Swansbrough (Don Jr.), Melissa Wheeland, Beverly Wheeland (Roger Walburn) and Tamara Wheeland (Mike Morse); his grandchildren, Franklin, Nikki, Russell, Roxanne, Brandon, Ashley, Tori, Marissa (Dylan), Max, Ryan, Micheal (Leah), Ruthanne Alysha (Chase), Abigail (Chris), Gracie and Michael; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Gabriella, Jullianna, Ellyannah, Tate and Kaylon; his siblings, Leroy Wheeland (Michelle), Debra Judson (Tom), Judy Alexander (Paul), Nate Keener (Tina) and Christopher Keener; his son-in-law Tim Chandler; and his pets, George, Theodore and Rosey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the MacPherson Funeral Home (5 Whig St, Newark Valley, NY 13811). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
