He is survived by: his wife Judy Newton; his daughter Jannette Matula (Michael); his grandchildren, Logan, Claire, Marcianna Cooley (Christopher), Raina and Grace; and his sisters, Maryann Mulvenna (Neal), Diane Andrews and Denise Delatorre.
He has donated his brain to help research for a cure.
