He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent James LaBate and Marguerite Jane LaBate (Elliott); his daughter Joanna Marie LaBate Mollis; and his in-laws, Joseph F. and Margaret Longo.
He is survived by: his wife Sally LaBate (Longo); his children, Shane, Julie Spencer, Aaron Thomas LaBate and Chad LaBate; his siblings, Robert Earl LaBate (Joseph Stern) and Jane Ann LaBate; his brothers-in-law, Joseph Longo (Jackie), Mark Longo (Angelia) and Robert Longo (Denise); his grandchildren, Amber Marie Spencer, Brett Joseph Spencer (Rachel) and Annie LaBate; his nephews, Patrick Ryan Morris (Sherwette Salaheen) and Evan James Morris; and his aunt Joyce Elliott.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Herson Wagner Funeral Home (110 S Geneva St, Ithaca, NY 14850).
