He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. George Perhac and Irene Perhac. He is survived by: his wife Raquel Urania Goulart; his children, Dr. Ralph M. Perhac, Jr. (Diane) and Janet Perhac; and his stepdaughter Lola Furtado (Lenny).
That was followed by two years with the National Science Foundation in Washington, DC where he was Director for the program on the environmental effects of energy.
