He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Sr. Hairston and Fannie Bell Fanning Hairston; and his grandson Joshua Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Nina Copeland Hairston; his daughters, Tiwonda Phillips (Ramon) and Candace Poole; his grandsons, Brycen Poole, Caleb Phillips and Braylen Poole; and his godson Melton Boone, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home (100 Corporate Plaza Dr, LaGrange, GA 30241). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Warren Temple U. M. Church (416 E Depot St, LaGrange, GA 30240).
