It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Earl Rice of New York, New York, born in Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on June 30, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleve Rice and Mabel Rice; his son Dalton Wallace; his cousin Alice Benjamin; and his close friends, J. C. Abrams and L. C. Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Senia Tucker Rice; his children, Michael Rice (Erica), Eric Rice, Rev. Anthony Wallace (Barbara) and Crystal Ruff; his grandchildren, Kia, Jordan, Eriq, Jasmine, Crystal and Angel; his sister Margaret Branch; and his cousin Carl Ruff. He is also survived by 4 Great Grandchildren, 4 Sisters-in-law, 3 Brothers-in-law, and a host of other cousins, extended relatives and friends.
