He is survived by: his sister Joan Leanza; his children, Sharon Fernandez (Richard) of Holmdel, Gerard Artale (Teresa Wilson), Michael Artale (Jayne Calano) and Jeanne Cipas (Duane) of Aberdeen; his grandchildren, Daniel Artale, Richard Fernandez (Jen), Alison Rider (Kenny), Kara Fernandez, Michael Artale (Lori), Alex Artale and Alana Nicoletta; and his great grandchildren, Emmy (Sophie), Maren and Mila.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Joseph's memory by spending time with your loved ones or enjoying a quiet moment in nature, as he so often did.
