He was loved and cherished by many people including : his father Louis "Kenny" Brooks; his sons, DiMario Brooks (Sherika Richards) and Nyeem Brooks (Nagida Rock); his siblings, Dwayne Tyrone Jones, Louis Martin, Chauncey Hazel Sr., Yolanda Maria, Jessica Nicole, Gloria Marie and Danielle Lindsay; his friends, Raymond "Ray-Ray" Lawrence, Antoine'Toine" Lewis and Chuck; his mother Barbara Denise Maxwell; and his brothers, Alexander "Al" Hazel and Anastasio Brooks. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Affinity Funeral Service (2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
