It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Florence Dominy of New York, New York, who passed away on September 9, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Francis Benanti and Florence Phyllis Ohl Benanti; the father of her children John Dominy; her husband Ralph of Werff; her sister Irene Benanti; her cousins, Marlene Rogers and Teresa Hyde; her niece Barbara Oeffner; and her nephew Michael Abbondola.
She is survived by: her daughters, Faith Dominy (Matthew Neiburger) of Asheville, NC and Lydia Burns (Joseph Echeverri) of Portland, OR; her grandchildren, Aidan Burns of Portland, OR, Madeleine Burns of Portland, OR and Emma Burns of Portland, OR; her nieces, Marie Sinclair (James) of Long Island, NY, Joanne Sottile Evko (Vito) of Long Island, NY and Carol Lubetkin of Long Island, NY; her goddaughter Geraldine Daversa of Central Islip, NY; and her cousins, William Heaney (Liz), Robert Heaney, Raymond Heaney (Rita), Russell Daversa (Albina), Francis Daversa, John Benanti (Louise) and Roberta Mackid (Peter).
