She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Rahn and Gertrude Rahn; and her husband Philip Shank. She is survived by: her sister Barbara Rahn; her sons, Roger Shank (Melinda) and Daniel Shank; and her granddaughters, Olivia Grimm-Shank (Mike), Emme Hockema (John), Sophie and Claire.

“My deepest condolences to Carol's family and loved ones. Carol and I were friends throughout our lives starting in early elementary school when my parents built two doors down from the Rahn home in Galt Ontario. Carol and our friend Gaye from across the street went on many hikes to visit Shiela on her nearby farm. Sheila had a black pony Trigger and a pony cart. My Dad named Gaye, Carol and I the Lansdowne Lollipops. I treasure many memories. Thank you my kind, caring friend. God bless. Cheryl”
