It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Rooks in New York, New York, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on October 28, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Buk and Mary Ann Buk (Balda); and her brother Robert Buk. She is survived by: her boyfriend Joseph Paterno; her daughter Dawna Rooks (John Pieper); her grandsons, Andrew and David; her sister Donna Steinmetz; her nephews, Christopher Steinmetz and Douglas Buk (Angie); and her niece Kristi Lathers (Rob).
