He was predeceased by: his father Leslie Martell; and his stepfather Melvin Kinney. He is survived by: his children, Cooper and Lydia Martell (Peter Merhige, Jr.); his mother Isabella Kinney; his sisters, Tammy Martell and Cheryl Chambers; his brother-in-law Gary Chambers; his niece Megan; his nephew Michael Chambers; his brother Shawn; his sister-in-law Pam (Maggie Bottino); and his friend Steve Lovering (Gretchen). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Alan loved his dogs Boogie, Finnegan, and Maizey, and with that in mind in lieu of flowers we would request donations in his name to the Capital District Humane Association, P.O. Box.
