Walter Kurgan Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2020, at the age of 74, Walter Kurgan of New York Mills, New York, born in Utica, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kurgan and Mary Kurgan (Jasinski); his brother Peter Kurgan; and his siblings-in-law, Arnold Mattice, Louis "Skeeter" Buttenschon, William Thompson, Rose Thompson and Dorothy Buttenschon.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Buttenschon; his children, Anna Kurgan (John Wosnjuk) of Chadwicks, John Kurgan (Megan Hartzel), Mills and Walter Kurgan (Kara Marco) of Chadwicks; his grandchildren, Zacharie Wosnjuk, Meghan Wosnjuk Upham (Joel), Sara Wosnjuk, Declan Kurgan and Keyarra Kurgan; his siblings, Patricia Schiller (James) of Freeville, NY and Michael Kurgan; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Mattice of Utica, Christine Buttenschon of Utica and Anita Cleveland (Paul) of Westmoreland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Masks must be worn, social distancing and contact tracing will be implemented.
