He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fredrick Bowie and Ellamae Cook Bowie; his wife Jackie Jolle; his son James Popper; and his brothers, Robert J. Bowie, William R. Bowie, Joseph A Bowie and Donald Gordon.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda L. Popper; and his siblings, Laura Cosgrove (William), Darlene Jollie (Fred), Pamela Bowie (Chris), Donna Bowie and Thomas D. Bowie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
