He is survived by: his wife Mary Luce Smith; his children, Debra Van Regenmortel (Jay Van Regenmortel) of Goshen, Steven W. Smith (Cynthia Smith) and Michael E. Smith of New Windsor; his grandsons, Matthew Van Regenmortel and Angelo Yannone; his sister Pauline Scharpf of Ronkonkoma, NY; his nephews, Jeffrey (Gabi Scharpf) of Brookhaven and Eric (Sheri Scharpf) of Aquebogue; and his niece Kristin (Bill Von Eiff) of Greenport. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
