He is survived by: his wife Peola Coble Hicks; his daughters, Kimberlee Coble Hicks Blackett (Lemuel) of San Diego, CA and Sarah Danielle Hicks of Waterbury, CT; his grandchildren, Brendan, Sasha and Noah Blackett; his siblings, Joan Hicks Boddie of Charlotte, NC, Melva Hicks of Atlanta, GA and James Hicks (Cynthia) of Gastonia, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Freeman Hicks of New Milford, CT, Jerldine Toppin of Stony Point, NY, Veronica Groom of Virginia Beach, VA, Brenda Coble-Mitchell of Newberg, NY and Lee Coble (Dianne). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
