He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Castellano and Josephine Canino Castellano; his brother-in-law Gaetano Toscano (Tom); and his sister Jeanette Castellano Toscano. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Joseph Castellano Jr. (Heather) and Anthony Joseph Castellano; and his wife Barbara Strazza Castellano.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc. (16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle, NY 10805). A Mass was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Family Church (83 Clove Rd, New Rochelle, NY 10801). An entombment was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Ferncliff Cemetery (280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530).
