He was predeceased by: his parent Eleuterio Patiño; and his brother Pablo Patiño. He is survived by: his siblings, Mateo, Armando, Maruja and Carmen Patiño; his wife Maria; his children, Blanca Patricia Patiño, Maritza Patiño-Salomon, Liliana Patiño-Sanchez, Magaly Patiño-Contreras and Luis Eduardo Patiño Jr.; his children-in-law, Rafael Contreras and Jacqueline Patiño; and his grandchildren-in-law, Fernando, Jennifer Salomon, Natalia, Armando, Jorge Antonio Sanchez, Andrea and Rafael Angel Contreras.
