He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Hurtado and Rosa Cardona; and his son Julio Alberto. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Hurtado; his daughters, Beatriz Restrepo (Alvaro), Olga Hurtado and Teresita Mauceri (Nick); and his grandchildren, Pablo, Giancarlo, Vincenzo, Mariangela, Alejandra, Michela and Julio Fernando. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
