He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Welch and Loriane "Pat" Welch (Dezort); his brother Michael Welch Jr.; and his in-laws, George, Barbara Huth, Robert and Joan Werleu.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Welch (Werlau); his sons, William Welch Jr. (Corinne) of Highland, NY and Craig Welch (Heather) of Highland, NY.; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Emma, Addison, Dylan and Owen Welch; and his siblings, Pamela Welch of Florida and Patrick Welch of Wallkill.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Copeland-Hammerl Funeral Home (162 S Putt Corners Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the West Esopus Landowners Association.
