Roland W. Ellis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roland W. Ellis of New Paltz, New York, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on September 16, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Sr. Ellis and Marguerite Ellis; and his brother David Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Alice Murphy Ellis; and his sons, Abram W. Paradies, William T. Paradies and James I. Paradies. He is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
He received many awards and honors for his volunteer work not only for the Preserve, but also for his long-time contributions to Scouting.
