He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Russell and Marguerite Mary (Meyers); his siblings, Marite and Paul; and his sisters-in-law, Jackie and Judy Croce.

He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Cardana (Steve), Anna Bouchard (Robert), Theresa Egan (Robert), Bernadette Koonz (Eddie), Russell, Richard (Donna), Joseph, Gerard, Ferdinand (Chris), John (Karen) and Pete (Patty).
