With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean I. Stewart of New Paltz, New York, born in Newburgh, New York, who passed away on December 7, 2023 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean I. Stewart to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wygant Innis and Mary Innis (Clark); her husband Robert Stewart; her daughter Margaret Stewart; her granddaughter Kelly Moshier; and her siblings, John K. Innis, Hugh W. Innis and Ruth Tighe.

She is survived by: her children, Gregory Stewart of Marlboro, Robert J. Stewart (Kim Carroll) of Rifton, Kathleen Simonian (Tony) of Long Beach, CA, Anne Briwa of Pine Bush and Ellen Sharpe (Mike) of Hyde Park; her grandchildren, Taylor Briwa (Crystal), Robert Briwa, Darcy Stewart and Sydney Stewart; her great grandchild Bodhi Briwa; and her niece Mary Tighe Matey.

“I am so sorry for your loss. Great Aunt Jean was a lovely woman. She will be dearly missed. My Mom was Dawn Bell and my Grandfather was Jeans brother "Bill" Hugh William Innis.
