He was predeceased by: his mother Isabelle; and his pet Cinder. He is survived by: his sister Katharine Whelan of Scarborough, Maine; his goddaughter Tracie Ankermann of Portland, Maine; his niece Dayna Ankermann (Morgan Gason) of Melbourne, Australia; his nephew Kyle Ankermann; and his close friend Alex Reeves (Susan).
