With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald J. Kachmor (New Paltz, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 26, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Donald has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Kachmor; and his niece Kimberly Kachmor. He is survived by: his children, Richard (Summer), Rebecca and William; his brothers, John and Gerry; and also Philip Kelly. He is also survived by his four children, along with many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (34 S Chestnut St, New Paltz, NY 12561).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the National Parks Conservation Association to honor his lifelong love of art and nature.
