He is survived by: his wife Judy Swallow; his former wife Jane Sunshine; his children, Cary Sunshine of San Francisco, CA, Jessica Sunshine of Hurley, NY and Kaiwie Fastwolf of Santa Rosa, CA.; his stepchildren, Will Wechsler of Bethesda, MD and Sarah Fajardo of Rhinebeck, NY; and his grandchildren, Numa Auld, Mikaela Hopkins, Tobias Sunshine, Jaime Hopkins, Olivia Fajardo, Alex Wechsler, Ben Fajardo, Daniel Wechsler and Tristan Sunshine. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
