He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nicholas DeGennaro and Marion DeGennaro (Bushee); his grandsons, Nicholas DeGennaro, Harvey DeGennaro, Matthew Cross (Katie Cross) and Hunter (Hayden); and his brother Carlo. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
