He was predeceased by: his siblings, Maureen, Noreen, Robert and Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Edward (Kathy), Patricia Coughlan (Brian), Margaret Sollenne (Michael), John (Deirdre) and Catherine Diep (Chip); his grandchildren, Kyle (Echo), Michael (Tori), Conor, Matthew (Haley), Erin, John (Julia), Edward, Caile (Jon), Christopher, Brian, Caitlin, Meaghan and Lily; his sister Kathleen; and his cousin Bobby Grimes.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home (506 Lakeville Rd, New Hyde Park, NY 11040). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Aidan's R. C. Church (505 Willis Ave, Williston Park, NY 11596).
