He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell E. Sturtz Jr. and Ethel Berniece Winters Sturtz; his son Matthew Sturtz; and his brother Michael Sturtz. He is survived by: his wife Martha Searles Sturtz; his sons, Russell Sturtz (Sara), Kenneth Sturtz and New Haven; his sister Martha Owen (David); and his granddaughters, Olivia Sturtz and Charlotte Sturtz.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harter Funeral Home, Inc. - Mexico (9 Washington Ave, Mexico, NY 13114). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anne Mother of Mary Catholic Church (3354 Main St, Mexico, NY 13114).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop 825, Mexico, New York.
