He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Roback and Sadie Cieslak Roback; and his siblings, William, Bernard, Joseph and Jacqueline Purnie.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Derdzinski; his children, Dr. Robert, II Roback (Becky) of New Mexico, Kathleen Orsino (Alan), Dr. James Roback (Lyn) of Utica and David Roback (Donna) of Deerfield; his grandchildren, Chris Randall (Kris), Anne-Marie Edmunds (Matthew), Kathryn Orsino, Suzanne Orsino (Joe Critelli), Elizabeth Jennings (Christopher), Sara Gifford (Patrick), Joseph, Benjamin Roback, Mary Roback (Mike DePasquale), James Roback (Meghan), Diana Wiegand (Matt), Derek Roback (Emily Muscarella), Christine Roback (Drew Conway), Stephany Scalzo (Michael), Stephen Roback (Miranda) and Kevin Roback; his great grandchildren, Emmett, Ely Randall, Liam August, Madeline Elizabeth, Theo Alan Edmunds, Benjamin, Claire, Samuel Scalzo, Anthony Alan Orsino, Christopher Michael Jennings, Jr., Cole Jerome, Callie Mae Gifford, Jack Conway, William Kai Roback, Avery Roback and Blakely Weigand; and his sisters-in-law, Clara Biedrzycki and Stephanie Roback. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
