He is survived by: his wife Margaret Dunn; his daughter Mantey (Henning); his grandchildren, Parker of Atlanta, GA, Jared Nelson of Atlanta, GA and Shanna Nelson of Charleston, SC; his children, Michael J. Lauterbach (Carine), Sophia of Westport, CT and Nina of Westport, CT; his grandson Theodore Lauterbach of New York, NY; his sister Barbara Orellana; his nephew Richard Orellana (Christine); his great-nephew Carson; and his great-nieces, Kimberly of Mooresville, NC. and Kira of Mooresville, NC..
