He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Steinhorst and Edna Steinhorst; his former wife Ann Ruth Fox (Cookie); his wives, Betty Steinhorst and Anna Ruth Steinhorst (Cookie); his daughter Donna Devaney; and his sister Mertice Fitzgerald.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Maggi (Thomas) of Utica and Mark Steinhorst (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Lisa (Dalen Bristow), Heather (Terry Williams), Kyle (Charlotte Fenton), Cory (Lisa Fenton), Kerry Devaney of Montana, Christopher (Stephanie Devanney) and Evan Steinhorst; and his niece Kathy Lancaster (Bill). He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in John's memory to the New Hartford Public Library, 2 Library Lane, New Hartford, NY 13413.Arrangements are in the care of Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, New Hartford.
