James V. Peters Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2021 we had to say goodbye to James V. Peters of New Hartford, New York, born in Utica, New York. He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Babe" and Carmella "Millie" Peters (Torchia); his sister T. Elaine; his brother-in-law Donald E. Talerico, Sr.; his parents-in-law, Arthur A. and Margaret M. Graniero; and also, Tom, Angela Mitchell and Adeline Stamboly.

He is survived by: his wife Bern; his grandchildren, Julia Mitchell, Joseph "Joey" Peters, Alyssa and Lindsey Peters; his nephews, Donald E. Jr. (Elena M. Talerico) and Robert J. Talerico; his great-niece Melissa; his great-nephews, Todd Reynolds and Donald E. Talerico; and also, Hayden, Isla, Colton and Billy Stamboly. He is also survived by his children and their spouses.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jimmy's Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life which will commence on Saturday morning, December 18, 2021 at 11:00 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish, 648 Jay St. Regardless of vaccination status, face masks are required at both events, to remain in compliance with the state and county mask order.
