He is survived by: his parents, Frederick VanSlyke and Surnie Hussie VanSlyke; his spouse Virginia Blowers; his children, Matt VanSlyke, Beth Allen of Chicago, Patrice Borsz, Drew Borsz of Holly Springs, NC, Andrew VanSlyke, Lauri VanSlyke of St. Louis, MO, Mary Femia and Jim Femia of Clinton; his grandchildren, Scott, Audrey, Jared, Lauren, Nathan Van Slyke, Corinne Martin, Jason Martin, Shawna Thompson, Jason Thompson, Andy Borsz, James, Anna and Jillian Femia; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Elijah, Gabriel, Sarah, Everett, Samuel and Annelise. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
