Francis Eugene Romano Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2023, at the age of 94, Francis Eugene Romano of New Hartford, New York, born in Utica, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Angelo and Mary Carmella Romano (DiPerna); his son Dr. Michael Romano; his sister Jocelyn; his brother-in-law Raymond Candido; his daughter Madelyn Bartelson Romano; and his former wife Jeanne Louise Ulrich Romano.

He is survived by: his children, Colerick Supply, Mather Evans, Diehl, Linda Romano Petralia (Russell), John Romano (Jacqueline), Patrick Scully (Martha McCoy), Colleen Scully Ribble (Roger) and Timothy Reed (Cindy); his grandchildren, Alessandra Romano (Jimmy Handrinos), Jacqueline Romano, Michael Romano (Samantha King), Francesca Groth (August), Alexandra Romano, Whitney Petralia, Francis E. Romano II, Corinne Ribble (Robert Simpson), Andy Ribble (Adria), Brian Ribble (Carrie), Katie Ribble (Kyle Newby) and Dominic Corelli (Emily Scharf); his great grandchildren, Benjamin Simpson, Molly, Margaret Newby, Lucy, Grace, Patrick, Nathan Ribble, Alyssa and Johnny Taylor; his brother-in-law Rev. James Ulrich (Lani); his cousin Victor DiPerna (Annamarie); his wife Loretta Massoud Romano; his stepdaughters, Maria Mody-Jones (James) and Patricia Virkler (William); his grandchildren, Angelina, Audrianna, James Jones, Billy, Alyssa and Patrick Virkler; his brother Old Forge; and his friend Puerto Rico. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
