With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Cook-Begany of New City, New York, who passed away on April 8, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred G. John and Winifred E. Scheld; her husband William R. Begany of Yonkers, NY; and her pets, Morris, Buckey and Molly.
She is survived by: her children, Marie John of Jeffersonville, PA, Laureen Cook of North Bethesda, MD and Kenneth Cook of Suffern, NY..
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home (728 W Nyack Rd, West Nyack, NY 10994). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas Lutheran Church (2 Old Ox Rd, Nyack, NY 10960). A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 12:40 PM to 12:55 PM at the George Washington Memorial Park (234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652).
